Last night, I had a dream that I was driving to someone's apartment, and I was following someone there, and we were passing this really slow car. There was a traffic light coming up, and I glanced at it and it was green, so I continued to pass the guy and proceed thru the light. Apparently, it had changed and there was another right after it. So I ran two red lights while speeding. Then a police officer pulls out of a parking lot to come after me. I started breaking right after I saw the cop car coming after me because I knew (after I had run the lights) what I had done. There was a funeral going on at a church on the street where we were... The most memorable thing about this dream was that my ticket was for roughly $14,000. I broke down crying when the officer told me, well, first I was in complete shock, and THEN I broke down. The girl I was following got a ticket too, only hers was only $912. One of the really hot officers down at the station (I'm not sure why I was there) told me that I could get a payment plan and he'd call me when he had more information for me. I called my mom to tell her that I got a ticket, and she sounded just fine about it and didn't understand why I was crying. I kept babbling about how I didn't mean to and I was sorry and I couldn't believe it happened, but I don't remember if I ever actually got around to telling her how much the ticket was...

Is it bad if I can see hidden meaning in this? The apartment is where I ultimately want to end up. The girl I'm following could be a friend and I want to "follow" her. Obviously I wasn't paying good enough attention, so that could be not thinking things through. And the two lights could be two choices that I'm not yielding to or considering. The insane amount of money could be a magnification or exaggeration of the tightness of money this month and next and my carelessness costing (literally and figuratively) too much for me and my family. The whole thing with Mom...not sure.
