first day as a grad student
Today begins my first day as a grad student at USC. I feel so unprepared... don't even have my 5 star notebooks yet (target has been sold out the last 2 times that I went) nor my parking permit (just have to fork over the cash for today).
This weekend was great. Did absolutely nothing spectacular (just watch a lot of Olympics and went shopping), but a very good weekend nonetheless. Gene and I took my family out to Buca's on Friday night because my sister was going to Berkeley the next day. My parents were really touched that we treated them out :). Gene's new mission is to fatten me up because the whole weekend all he did when we eat was put food on my plate cuz he knows that I hate leaving food behind to the trash. He did the same thing at dim sum on Saturday, indian buffet on Sunday, and Eugene Kang's on Sunday night. I think I gained like 5 lbs this wkd.
Work is kinda slow today cuz I'm extremely tired. Definately need a Starbucks run before I go to class today. My wallet is EXTREMELY empty though... I maxed out all of my CCs (each CC has less than a couple hundred left on it) in order to pay my tuition last Friday. Need to really save from now on and ebay wisely.
