I suddenley realised I haven't updated on the mini-shetland rescue saga! Well, Oli is with us all at Field Farm and has settled like he's always been there. We have had him since Tuesday late afternoon and he is just adorable. He is a little nervous but loves people and his nervousness is less every day.
He allowed us to groom him all over today and we untangled his mane and tail so he now looks even cuter. He is chocolate brown and a mere 32" high. :-)
I am going to take some photos on sunday and get him on my journal!
George is much happier now. He has had some issues lately but we are working through them and he is working much better. I hate winter. It turns him into a slightly angry horse as he wants to go out to play but then hates the mud/wet and wants to come in again. Today's extended turnout will have done him the world of good.
Only 21 days until Dressage season starts. Eeeeeek. Not only are my show boots encrusted in mud, my welsh horse is fat and my tack is looking much worse for wear after a hard, wet winter. I wish I were rich. Of course that wouldn't make my horse any thinner!
