i rule
basically this is going to be a long, boring, drawn out, crazy plan i came up with for my next 2 years of college. here goes. i am so great.
so at holyoke i have this semester to get through then only one more year with my pre-requ stuff. since i am only prenursing and not in the nursing program i'm fine with where i'm at course wise and all that. now i need to look into getting cna certified. this way i can work in any hospital doing basic assistant nursing stuff. thats why i'm going to get the job at heritage hall this summer which is a nursing home. they are going to train me as a cna *certified nurses assistant* for free *costs over $600 through the red cross* and offer me a job which should pay roughly $12 an hour. with that i know it may not be the best work, but i'm willing to accept that. as of now summer plans include working cvs and heritage hall and hoping i still have time for fun *which i'm sure i can handle* then i want to stay with the nursing home roughly 6 months so that way i have a solid experience there and in december apply to work as a cna at baystate hospital. this way, i'll be finishing up my second year at holyoke and i found out if i work at baystate they will give pay for my schooling. now i'm thinking, "TERRIFIC." i find out they will start paying after i work there about 6 months so i figure i start in january of 2006, work through the summer and stay with them on weekends and what not while i go to umass and hopefully once i start at umass they will offer to pay for my tuition. and get this: through holyoke i am a shoe in at umass, my only issue is i'm not a shoe in for the nursing progam which i need to get through before i can get my whatever in practioning. so my three options are
1. go to umass and change my mind
2. go to umass and get accepted into the nursing program
3. stay at holyoke and do their nursing program
i would prefer to get out of holyoke asap. but i will keep it as my LAST resort if i have to and can't get into nursing at umass. but i think with my grades, gpa and accomplishments i could have a good chance at the umass nursing program. so i'm hoping i'll get in, that way this whole plan will work out: i get out of holyoke, i get to go to umass, i will get my school paid for, and not die in student loans!

in other news, i have this weekend off and i plan on seeing a lot of cathy. and saturday i get to hang out with marie! yay! still not sure what we should do. hmm...
and i bid on an ipod today on ebay. hopefully i'll get that next week. brand new, still in its box, 20 gig, holds 10k, $180, and free shipping.
so yeah. all i have to do now is wait. and hope it all works out. oh yeah and rock out.
