So the plan was to go up Friday night and visit Fallon, then drive up to see Dave at UCONN Saturday afternoon. However, it was raining and the roads were starting to freeze over, so I couldn't drive to see Fallon since all those roads were shot to shit. However, 44 West was not frozen so I drove up to UCONN a day early. Dave was at a track meet when I got there so I had to wait 6 hours before his team arrived at 11 pm that night. I think the weekend was well worth the wait...
First of all, I told him a while ago that I always wanted a Cabbage Patch Doll and that I don't remember getting one as a kid. I go to his dorm room and there's this little brown/red haired, blue eyed angel cabbage patch doll girl sitting in his open closet waiting for me. I thought that was really sweet.
Here's where it gets interesting: we were planning for a while to go get tattoos together, however I left my I.D. at my dorm and I couldn't go get one without it. So, Dave agreed to drive to Wheaton while I studied so we could get my I.D. We got to my school, got my I.D. and decided to stop and get the tattoos in Woonsocket at The Art Room. The tattoos came out great, however I almost fainted BEFORE I sat in the chair. I was watching the artist finish Dave's tattoo up and I started to feel sick. I asked her for some water and she went out of the room to get it for me. While she was gone I asked Dave if he knew how to recline the seat and he said that he didn't (of course, but I wasn't thinking of that at the time). To prevent myself from faining I lay down on the ground. The artist returns and gets a little afraid because I'm lying on the wood floor and she thought I just dropped there. They finally get me on the chair and I start sweating like crazy and all I can really do is lay there, sipping water and eating chocolate saying "I'm really sorry, I don't even know why this is happening. I don't even feel very nervous".
Overall, it didn't even hurt that much...I'd give it a four out of 10 on my fleashy, meaty part and a 7.5-8 near the bone. I got a tribal ankh on my stomach and he got a shamrock with the trinity knot in the center on his forearm, by the way.
Then, oh my God, I had a really bad close call. I left my phone off through out the whole weekend and I answered my phone early this morning when Dave and I woke up. My parents had been calling me all yesterday and they were pissed that I didn't answer. My dad told me (he was the one who called) that my mom was on her way to Wheaton...and when he said that I immediately looked at Dave thinking "oh shit, I'm in trouble" because if they knew that I was sleeping over at his place they'd be insanely mad. So I quickly apologized to my dad and immediately called my mom. She was just pulling off the high way and was going to go in to my dorm building and knock on my door, then go asking people if they've seen me...and if she ran in to my RA I would have been fucked to high heaven because he knows where I go on those certain weekends. So she turned around and went back home...but oh man, my heart was in my throat. That was SO close...
I'm never forgetting to keep my phone off ever again...but still, it was an amazing weekend...and (here comes the sappy moment) I have to say that I have a truly amazing guy who's everything I've ever wanted and nothing that I could ever deserve.
