First Entry In What Feels Like A Long Time
Summer's almost here...I'm stressing a bit for finals, but it's almost over with. I'll just grit my teeth and take it...I didn't do all this hard work to completely drop the ball/ slack off in the end after all :).
I can't wait to get back home. I miss my friends, my dog, and my bed...not to mention free time and the outdoors, which when I'm not studying I'll be outside doing something entertaining...but for the first few day's I'm home I'm going to be sleeping...
Another thing that I miss that I'll see in a week and a half: Dave :). It'll be six months for him and I on the 19th and so far the day that we're celebrating sounds like it'll be fun...but personally I don't care what we do, I just want to see him again.
Oh yeah, and something to brighten up my day: I was seriously bumming when I didn't get my grant and I found out my research was being temporarily passed on to someone else for the summer. True, I'll have it again in the fall and it's not the end of the world but it's still my research project...I don't like the idea of someone else maning the wheel in my absence. Anyway, my Microbiology professor/advisor asked for TAs for Micro next year and I said I wanted to do it. Not only did she say she'd like to have me but she also asked if I wanted to help her in the Biochemistry lab :). I'll be getting experience and an idea about what I'll have to do in senior year...hm, maybe I can even bum one of the text books off of her...we'll see.
Next year sounds like fun...but still, I can't wait for the summer.
