Because the episode last night was amazing:
Logic
Seeley Booth sits at home; head in hands. He can’t believe he just did that. He can’t believe he just rejected Temperance Brennan.
What the hell had she expected? He had a girlfriend! He loved Hannah. At least he thought he did. He did! He did love Hannah. Unfortunately, that didn’t mean he didn’t love Bones too.
He’d been so tempted to kiss her right there in the car. Except…Bones was Bones. She was complicated and logical. He’d opened himself up to her before. She’d said no. She’d regretted it last night, but only because of some weird case. She’d been way too attached, she’d had some kind of breakdown. He wasn’t going to tell her he loved her when she’d surely feel differently in the morning.
Booth’s phone rings. It’s Angela. He’d called her a few hours before; after dropping off Brennan.
“What the hell, Booth?” she yells. Booth’s stomach twists. “She’s a mess!”
“Angela…I…” begins Booth, but Angela has already hung up.
Booth is angry. She can’t blame him. He was just doing what was logical. If he’s learned anything from Temperance it is that the logical thing sometimes works The logical thing, in any case, is safe.
He picks up the phone and calls Hannah. When she arrives he buries himself in her trying to forget another women, her words, and her tears.
It almost works.
