Axel, hm.

I look up to him..
Or maybe-- I know sometimes my muses influence me, so-- that could be my Xion muse, too.

Axel's not exactly good role model material, either, haha.
He's selfish (notthatI'mnot).
He's pretty socially awkward, actually. I guess that's one way I relate, but--
He avoids topics if he doesn't want to talk about them.
And it's pretty obvious when he avoids them.
(I feel like I do that, kind of, but if I'm avoiding something, I try not to make it obvious.)
He lies, and that falls under all the above categories-- lies to protect himself, lies because he doesn't know what else to do (like when Roxas was feeling down on the "Day 255" scene when Xion's been gone, and Axel just tells Roxas that she's on some important mission), or lies when he wants to avoid a topic (I think? I can't remember an example for this).

He's not the best character to look up to.
Then he tries to fix things (also DDD spoilers ahead if anyone cares).
-- kind of.
He's saved Sora twice now, once when he wanted to see Roxas in KH2, and once in DDD which is probably when Sora needed it most.
But that could have been for Roxas, too. -- and at that point, they kind of hinted that Axel remembered Xion, or remembered that Roxas wasn't the only friend he had.
And I don't know if he began considering Sora a friend yet.
If he only saved Sora for Roxas/Xion in DDD, it was kind of for himself again.
Since he obviously can't ever see them if Sora's gone.
But, who knows. He hides his intentions a lot, doesn't he?
He also seemed surprised when Yen Sid acknowledged the help that Axel/Lea provided.
It's probably new to him-- since he's been in the Organization, Saïx or Xemnas pulling the strings behind some of what he did.
Then again, it was usually for himself, too-- avoid being seen as suspicious, etc.
But I'd guess, from DDD, that he's trying to make up for what he did, at least a bit.

Anyway, despite him being selfish...
He does always go after his friends.
In Days, his motives started being driven by Roxas, then Xion-- he needed to help them out, while helping himself out as well.
That took away from his selfishness, though he still did things for himself...
I dunno, I'm just rambling and probably contradicting myself.
Since I'm thinking out loud-- or, on a journal.

But I guess, the points I look up to him for--
He has the capability of even being there for his friends?? Like I don't know-- when Xion lost her Keyblade, Axel had enough influence to help them out there. Plus he can actually think of things to solve their problems.
Also, he's funny. I don't know-- just a lot of the stuff he says, haha. He also.. always thinks of something to say. Or well, almost always.
And when he reached the point of being best friends with Roxas and Xion, he was able to state that confidently. And of course, that's only because Xion and Roxas don't know what best friends are anyway-- so he can introduce things like that to them. Anything. But he's still lucky.

I guess, he just always seems to handle things so well. Even if he really doesn't.

I also started thinking of Xion's line, "What would it take for me to be like you?"
But I was thinking too much into that.
So I won't talk about it here.

Anyway, this has been one of the many KH rants/rambles I make :u.
It'll most likely be private within a few days.
Ah well.

EDIT: Hm, yeah, I'm just kind of seeing this like Xion might.
Axel seems like someone who always knows what to do.
