Okay, I love my new course.
First of all, I don't think anybody quite knows how good it feels to be able to sit in a lecture, and understand everything that is being said. It's one of these feelings that you don't really feel until you've sat through around half of the lectures of a course that made no sense at all (I spent the other half in Maths lectures instead - much more interesting!).
Secondly, this course is interesting. I can't think of a module that I don't find interesting so far. I love programming. I love binary calculations. I would probably love to use databases and other software once our lecturers have moved us out of the complete beginners category that they assume we're in.
The lecturers are good fun as well. One of them basically told us to leave his class early to go and get free cake from the canteen (I can't believe that only five of us took him up on that!).
The library is awesome. There are books on most subjects that I find interesting, and there are no restrictions on the ones that I can borrow, like at some institutions.
So, in short, I love this course already. Shame it's only for a year though. I'll definitely want to continue in the Computing field after this year, though.
