Paper Boats (or Deja Vu Part 2045)

I would post this on my blog in MySpace.. but it's being really, really dumb right now.

Work was actually kind of fun today. I spent most of it putting the order away with Victoria. I think we did a pretty good job. What topped it off was when Victoria was stepping down from her ladder of boxes ending up stepping on some Godiva chocolate. Luckily, the chocolate itself wasn't damaged. Needless to say, we feasted on chocolate. I ended up getting caramel on my beard that didn't want to go away. Good times.

After being denied at the bank with my change (otherwise known as tip money), I got some Betos and changed to go see Strike Anywhere, Bane and This Is Hell. I decided to get some chai from The Bridge where I ran into Trevor Hale, Elle and some other people. Sometimes I feel kind of excluded from the hardcore community but there's a few people who make me feel pretty good.

The show itself I ran into Mike, Austin, Matt and some others. This Is Hell was good, A Global Threat had a bunch of punk kids (who I didn't know still existed in Utah) bouncing their mohawks around to them. Strike Anywhere was hella fun. It was so good to see people actually having fun to music. I hardly see that anymore. What I noticed during Strike Anywhere too was that I had a HUGE run in with deja vu. Call it just that (deja vu).. prophecy. D grade prophecy for that matter. Everything was the same as I remembered it. Exactly what I was texting to Taryn. The exact song Strike Anywhere was playing. I consider this God letting me know I'm on the right track. The strange thing is that I've been always able to do this. It's so weird.

Bane played and about half the crowd left. It was kind of sad to see when they're such a respected band. BUT, halfway through the crowd really got into it. Their last song "Can We Start Again" had the singer in the crowd with all the kids surrounding him going nuts. It was the most fun I've had at a punk/hardcore show. I was so happy to be in that moment where people yelled along to the lyrics like those lyrics were life saving gospel. It was amazing.

After the show, I call Ben back. They (Ben, Ashlie and Andrew) get me over to Ben's place, which used to be my apartment. Lo and behold they were watching Three Ninjas. It's weird and awesome to know that at one point I really, really liked this movie. Kid's movies that I used to love always make me cringe.. except for Disney movies. I don't know why but some of them still kick ass. After a lot of chips y salsa, I decided to go home.

Daniel's asleep on the couch again.. but the Astroids game works now. The living room is cleaned up. Things are changing. I moved into my new room. The computer is next to go in and then all of my music. It's going to be nice to have some Matthew time.

I'm excited for the future. I have complete faith that if I'm acting in God's will, my dreams will be met and carried out. "Delight yourself in the Lord and He'll give you the pleasures of your heart". I think that's the Psalms verse. I'm sure it's some sort of correct translation..

Nada Surf is providing amazing 1:15 am music. Good times.

Life is good. Believe it with everything you have.
