I finally got myself a tumblr.
“I’m sorry about running off before. You just caught me by surprise. It’s not every day one of your friends makes a move on you.” Alex smiled, standing up straight.
“I don’t know why I did that. Well obviously I did, but I don’t know why I did it then.” Jack knew he was making no sense but he didn’t think too much of it, Alex certainly wasn’t.
“Yeah, I have to go now, anyway.” Alex told Jack, smirking when he saw the younger boys reaction.
“But you’ve only just got here!” Jack whined, crossing his arms across his chest.
“I know I have but I only came to do that,” Alex blushed, looking down at his feet, making Jack smile.
“You did?” Alex nodded, slowly looking back up Jack.
“I’ve never thought about a guy like that before. Ever. And then after talking to you, just being around you, I started to feel something I’ve never felt before. I tried to ignore it hoping it would just fizzle out. I know it’s only been a few weeks, but you’re just always in here,” Alex told him pointing at his head. “And tonight, I don’t know what happened, all I know is that I wanted to kiss you.”
“If all that’s true, then why did you look so distant when I told you?”
“I honestly don’t know. I guess that it’s just because I didn’t think that you felt that way about me. Then I find out you do and I have all these feelings that I don’t know what to do about. I just over reacted to it all. I’m sorry.”
“Don’t say sorry. You haven’t done anything wrong.” Jack sighed. “If anyone should be apologising, it’s me. I never should have kissed you before.”
“I know it probably doesn’t seem like it, but I’m glad you did, Jack. It’s made things clearer.”
“What, what do you mean?” Jack gulped, body tensing.
“I like you Jack. I know that now.” Alex told him before walking out the front door leaving Jack stood in the hallway, lost for words.

When his mom came home, she noticed straight away that there was something different with her son this evening.
“What is it Jack?” A concerned tone laced to her voice.
“Nothing, I’m just tired. You know how I get when I’m tired.” Jack smiled standing from his space at the dining table. “Night, mom.”
He ran up the stairs and into his room, reaching straight for his phone on the floor.
11:39pm
He groaned seeing the time, knowing that Zack goes to bed early during the week and that if he rings him, he’s bound to wake him up. Chewing his bottom lip, Jack debated whether or not to risk waking him.
‘It’s not like I ring him this late all the time. He might even be awake,’ Jack told himself whilst finding Zack’s name in his phonebook.
“Hello?” Zack grumbled.
“Hey, did I wake you?” Jack questioned, knowing that he had.
“Yeah, you did.” Zack yawned. “Don’t worry about it though. Is everything okay?”
“Yeah, everything’s great.”
“Then why are you ringing me so late?”
“Yeah, I was just about to tell you, but you didn’t let me finish.” Jack paused, giving Zack a chance to speak. When he didn’t, Jack carried on.
“Alex came over.” He heard Zack mumble a ‘shit’ on the other end of the line. “No. It was good. He er, he kissed me.”
“Are you fucking kidding me?! I told you, didn’t I? I knew he liked you!” Zack shouted causing his voice to increase in pitch. “What did he say?”
“Just that he liked me,” Jack shrugged. “That he’s confused. I don’t blame him to be honest.”
“Yeah, but Jack. He told you he liked you and he kissed you. It’s not exactly looking bad is it?”
Zack had a point. It wasn’t like Alex had come over and beat him up - which is what Jack was expecting him to do - he came over to tell Jack he liked him.
“You’re right. I’m gonna let you get back to sleep now,” Jack laughed as he and Zack exchanged goodbyes.
Taking off his sweats, Jack climbed into bed and checked his phone to see he had a text from Alex.
what do we do now? what does this mean?
y are u asking me? Its not like I have a lot of experience when it comes 2 things like this
Alex’s reply was almost immediate and Jack laughed at the reply he had received.
u think i do? just cause of who im friends with doesnt mean ive had this massive list of relationships ;)

Jack placed his phone on the bed side cabinet and just got into the right sleeping position when his phone buzzed once more. Groaning, he reached, covering his eyes as the bright light caught him off guard. However, the frown he was wearing soon turned into a smile as he read the latest message.
alright then… just so u know i do really like u. i dont want this to just be a 1 time thing. i don’t want tonight to have been a 1 off
neither do i :) but I really need to sleep now. I’ll see u 2moro
Jack once again placed his phone on the bedside cabinet and began thinking about what was going to come out of tomorrow as he tried to fall asleep.
