“Jack, wake up,” Matt said, poking the sleeping male curled up on the couch. I rolled my eyes, picking up my coffee and sipping it. “Seriously, Jack, wake the fuck up.”

He shook his shoulder gently, kneeling down next to him. Jack groaned turning his head and resting his arm over his eyes.

“Jack, at least take some Aspirin and go back to your bunk if you're too hungover wake up yet. People wanna sit on the couch,” Matt said, rolling his lip ring with his teeth. “Ja-”

I rolled my eyes, sipping the coffee and walking over to them. I held my cup out, tipping it gently and watching some of the steaming, brown liquid pour out and spill onto Jack’s chest. I straightened my cup out, bringing it back towards me as Jack let out a strangled screech.

“OW! What the hell?!” he yelled, grabbing at his shirt to get the hot and drenched fabric away from him. He peeled it over his head, throwing it away from him and looking around.

“What the fuck, Alex?! That was really uncalled for!” Matt yelled at me, having jumped back when the coffee hit Jack’s chest.

“Oh, you don’t know how called for that was,” I said, shaking my head and smirking. “And look, he’s awake. That’s what you wanted, right?”

“You motherfucker!” Jack screamed at me, standing up. He stepped towards me but Matt moved his arm out to put space between us. “What the hell is wrong with you?! You burned me!”

He pointed to his chest where angry red splotches were swelling up and I raised an eyebrow, taking a sip of the coffee in my hands.

“You son of a bitch!” Jack yelled, trying to come towards me again but Matt pressed him back, trying not to touch his burn.

“Jack, stop! We’re gonna have to take you to first-aid and see if we can get anything to treat those burns,” Matt said, looking up at him. “Jack, what the fuck happened to your eye?”

“The same thing that happened to my fucking chest,” he spat, glaring at me.

“You punched him?!” Matt asked, staring at me with wide eyes.

“I had good fucking reason, Flyzik,” I told him and he shook his head, exasperated.

“Better than the reason you threw steaming hot fucking coffee on him?! Please, Alex, enlighten me!” he yelled, keeping a hand on Jack’s arm to keep him back.

“Oh fuck off!” I snarled. “Go ahead! Go take care of the fucking baby! Everything’s all my fault, right? He never does anything!”

“Do you hear how ridiculous you sound?!” Matt yelled, throwing his hand up. “I feel like I’m babysitting a couple of four-year-olds! Jesus Christ!”

“Just fuck off!” I yelled, throwing my cup in the trash. “Fuck you! And fuck him! Fuck all of you! I’m done!”

I turned on my heel, walking towards the bunks.

“Alex!” Matt yelled, “come back here!”

I felt the tears spring to my eyes and I wiped them away furiously.

“Alex!” Matt yelled again, and I could hear the change in the tone of his voice. “Alex, come out here!”

I picked my suitcase up, ripping open the curtain to my bunk and beginning to throw all of my stuff into it.

“What did he mean?” I heard Zack ask and I sniffed, wiping away my tears with the back of my hand. I was glad the crew was all off the bus setting up our equipment. I didn’t feel like saying goodbye to all of them right now.

“I don’t know,” Matt answered.

“He’s really mad,” Rian said. “We need to let him cool off.”

“I need to talk to him,” Matt said.

“No,” Rian told him. “You and Zack take Jack to first-aid. I’ll try to calm him down.”

“I-”

“Matt, go,” Rian ordered.

“Fine,” Matt said, sighing in defeat. I heard fading footsteps and then the bus door open and shut.

I sniffed again, grabbing one of Jack’s shirts and wiping my nose on it. It was a stupid idea because when I inhaled afterward, all I could smell was Jack. I let out a growl, throwing it at the wall before grabbing more clothes and shoving them into my bag.

I heard the bunk door open and I wiped the tears from my eyes, not acknowledging Rian in the doorway.

“Lex,” he said, stepping closer and touching my elbow gently. “Stop and come talk to me.”

“No!” I yelled. “I’m going home!”

“You can’t go home,” Rian said calmly, leaning against my bunk. “We’re in the middle of a tour.”

“I don’t care!” I said, closing the lid and trying to zip the suitcase.

“Yes you do, Alex,” he said. “You care about the fans. They’ll be disappointed.”

“Fuck off, Rian!” I yelled, continuing to try and squish the suitcase closed to zip it all the way. “I can’t do this! I can’t! I fucking can’t take it anymore!”

I screamed, throwing the suitcase down once it was zipped. I picked it up, dragging it behind me.

“I’m going home! I hate him! I don’t even want to look at his face anymore!” I exclaimed, going towards the door.

“Alex, please just stop and breathe for a second,” Rian pleaded, following me. “This isn’t what you wanna do. Once you calm down you’ll realize that.”

“No!” I yelled, pulling my suitcase away from him.

I walked to the door, opening it and throwing my suitcase outside. I started to walk down the stairs, losing my balance and slipping. I fell on my ass on the stairs, hitting my head against the small railing.

“Fuck!” I yelled, putting my hand to my temple. Rian rushed over to me, leaning down next to me and moving my head.

“Okay, you’re bleeding. Come on,” he said, taking my hand and pulling me back up the stairs. He sat me down on the couch, and I pulled my hand away, seeing that I was in fact bleeding.

“Fuck,” I repeated, quieter this time.

Rian came back, pressing a towel to my cut firmly. I hissed, trying to move away from him but he shook his head.

“You have to put pressure on it so it will stop bleeding,” he said, and I closed my eyes. My head was throbbing. “Guess you aren’t leaving after all.”

“Shut up,” I grumbled, groaning. “Rian, my life is falling apart.”

“No it’s not,” he said.

“Yes it is. I’ve lost my best friend and the love of my life,” I told him and he chuckled.

“I don’t think you lost him,” he said, pressing a little more firmly, “I just think he’s a little upset that you punched him and poured hot coffee on him.”

“What the fuck is wrong with me, Ri?” I asked, opening my right eye and looking at him. He shook his head, giving me a small smile.

“There’s nothing wrong with you, Alex,” he said. “You’re just upset, and I don’t blame you.”

“Jack hates me,” I said, feeling tears leak from my eyes again. “And Flyzik is so pissed at me.”

“Jack doesn’t hate you. He’s just as confused as you are,” he told me. “And Flyzik isn’t pissed. He’s really worried about you. He’s trying to take care of everyone and make sure you and Jack don’t kill each other.”

“I don’t know what I’m doing,” I said, shaking my head. “I don’t want to hurt Jack, but I just... I’m tired of hurting too, Rian.”

“You need to talk to Jack about that,” he told me.

“He kissed me last night,” I said and he raised an eyebrow. “He kissed me and I thought maybe I was finally gonna getting somewhere with him. I thought I finally got through to him but he was fucking drunk. And he had some girl’s number on his arm and I felt so stupid. He didn’t want me. He was just horny.”

“That’s why you punched him?” he asked, taking the towel away from my forehead. He shook his head, pressing the towel back against the cut.

“Yeah,” I said, wincing.

“He kinda deserved that one then,” he said and I laughed.

“I-I hope he’s okay. I wasn’t thinking when I poured that coffee on him,” I said, biting my lip.

“I’m sure he’s fine,” Rian answered. “They’ll probably give him something to put on it to soothe the burn.”

“Yeah,” I answered.

“Just do us a favor and stop injuring Jack. The fans are already gonna be asking questions when they see he has a black eye and you have a cut on your head,” he said and I nodded.

“I’m sorry I’m such a mess,” I told him and he made a face, shaking his head.

“You’re human, Alex. You’re allowed to fuck up. You’re allowed to get upset. You’re allowed to get angry. But you aren’t allowed to give up, and you’re not allowed to leave us. We love you, Gaskarth. Even if Jack’s too stupid to ever come to his sense, you’ll always have us.”

I grinned, leaning forward and hugging Rian. He hugged me back, squeezing slightly.

“Thank you, Rian,” I said, resting my head on his shoulder. “You’re amazing.”

He chuckled, hugging me for a few more seconds before he pushed me back gently.

“I don’t want you to bleed all over,” he answered, pressing the towel back to my forehead.

Okay, here's your chapter! Damn! Stop hassling me! hahaha <3
Just kidding ;)

I would have written faster but I've been really anxious about Warped and I couldn't concentrate. But since I went yesterday I don't have to worry about it anymore, haha.
