Authors Note: This is my first time posting here, and my first time writing a fic, so I hope you like it!
It was 11 P.M. on Christmas Eve and there was no snow on the ground. Jack was sitting on the very edge of the couch and holding onto the armrest, staring intently at the window, waiting patiently for the first snowflake of the season to fall from the sky. Meanwhile, in the kitchen, his boyfriend Alex was making hot chocolate for the two of them. He would occasionly look into the other room and smile at his boyfriend’s determination to see the first bit of snow.
Jack had been sitting in the same spot for almost an hour. The weatherman had said it would snow tonight, and Jack wasn’t planning on moving until it did. While he stared out the window, his favorite movie, Home Alone, was softly playing in the background. After a few more minutes of staring out the window he felt the couch sink a bit, and then Alex’s arms were around him. He smiled as Alex pulled him back into his lap and kissed him. “When are you gonna get tired of sitting there looking at nothing?” Alex asked his boyfriend with a smile.
“I’m not. I have my movie and you to keep me occupied while I wait for the snow.” Jack said while playing with Alex’s hair. Alex just laughed and cuddled with his boyfriend as he turned the volume up on the T.V. About 15 minutes later Alex was wrapped up in the movie and Jack was just as into staring out the window.
It was at about 11:50 that the snow finally fell. Alex had fallen asleep with Jack resting on his shoulder, but Jack had stayed up and waited for the snow. While Jack was staring out the window, he noticed something hit the window. He got up and walked over to examine it and it was a drop of water. He got his shoes on and went outside to see if it was snowing, and when he got out there, it was, and he started running and jumping all over the yard like a little kid. After a few minutes he got cold and ran inside to wake up Alex. But when he got inside Alex was standing near the door waiting for him.
“Lexy! It’s snowing! It’s finally snowing!” Jack exclaimed while practically bouncing up and down.
“I know babe, you woke me up with all your excited yelling. You are so adorable.” Alex said as he pulled Jack in for a hug. “But can we go upstairs and go to bed? I’m tired, Jacky.”
With that Jack just smiled and took his boyfriend’s hand while walking to the stairs. When they got to the bedroom, they both got into bed and just talked for a little while. Right before they fell asleep, it turned 12:00, and Alex kissed Jack after wishing him a merry Christmas. A few minutes later they both fell asleep, as the snow continued to fall.
