“swing low, sweet chariot, coming for to carry me home”
His melodic voice carried throughout the room; low, sweet and serene as it danced slowly with the surrounding air. In his arms, cradled gently to his chest, was his daughter. Her wide, glorious brown eyes looked up at him full of wonder. Slowly as he sung, her eyelids became too heavy for her to hold up anymore and they closed; her breathing falling into a steady pattern. Alex looked down, his voice fading out slowly and retreating back to his throat as he noticed her sleeping. A smile formed lopsidedly on his face as he watched her sleep.
Footsteps soon filled his ears and he turned, seeing Jack standing in the doorway. “My two favorite people,” The black haired man said with a wide smile on his face. His eight month old daughter and his fiancé standing three feet away were his entire world, his everything. “I love you two more than anything.”
“If you get there before I do, comin' for to carry me home”
