Master Post

THIS IS A VERY SHORT FILLER, GET OVER IT. I needed to get this out for the next chapter, which should be up in one or two days since this is so short.

><
The two found themselves laying on Alex's bed, not touching, but they could feel each other's warmth radiating off their bodies. It felt so wrong, having that distance put between them. They should be spooning, cuddling, exchanging innocent kisses and whispering cute things into each other's ears. Maybe even get caught up in a heated moment or two. Just not this. This, being an awkward, uncommunicative moment where their breathing is too loud and uneven and their hearts are thumping uncontrollably in their chests. There's so much to say, so much to deliberate, and neither one of them could handle it.

Jack broke the silence first. "You know this doesn't mean everything's fine, and we can go back to how we used to be. This isn't us getting back together."

Alex looked over at Jack, and the younger boy nearly cringed at the hurt expression covering Alex's face.

"Why Jack? Why can't you give us another chance? I told you I was sorry, I respected your space. And what was yesterday! You came to my house, you kissed me. And now you're trying to say you don't want us to get back together as you lay next to me in my bed?"

"Lex, it's… it's not like that." Jack didn't miss the way Alex's eyes lit up at the nickname. And honestly, it hurt a little, seeing that little things like that made Alex smile, when they should be actions Alex is so accustomed to he hardly notices.

"Then what is it like? Jack, you need to tell me what's going on. I can fix it, I promise. Fuck, I'll do anything for you Jack. You know that."

"Alex," Jack began, stroking Alex's check with his knuckles, "I can't be with someone who's ashamed of me."

"I'm not ashamed of you Jack! Fuck, first of all I'm definitely not ashamed of being around you, speaking you're hotter than hell, and ovens, and my straightener, and other things that are, uh, well, hot." Jack laughed, cutting Alex off. "As I was saying," Alex began again, rolling his eyes, "I most definitely would not be ashamed of showing you off to the world, showing them that you're more than a sex panther with a perfect ass."

"That explains your little speech at school when we came out of the closet. Not literally… but you know when we like, walked out of the closet, and, uh, yeah."

"Do you remember the time we went for coffee?" Alex asked.

"How could I forget? I basically had to fight off a boner after seeing you in uniform."

"Do you remember me mentioning my parents kicking me out?"

"Yeah, because they're homophobic assholes." Jack riposted in a snappy voice.

"I had my own parents reject me. Kick me out of the house. And you're making it seem like coming out to school would be any different."

"And that's a legitimate reason to be scared, Alex, but if I'm not worth the risk then I don't know how you expect us to work out."

"So, we're done then. Right? You and I are… done." Alex knew they were done for a while, but… it's almost surreal saying it out loud, hearing it.

Jack nodded weakly, not exactly happy about it himself, but he knew that Alex wasn't ready for their relationship.

"Alright. Well, I'm going to change into something more comfortable, would you like sweats or something?" Alex asked, standing up and stretching with his arms in the air, showing off a few inches of midriff.

"T-that would be, uh, nice." Jack responded, standing up as well.

Alex opened his closet, pulling out a shirt and sweats for Jack and sweats for himself. He wordlessly handed the clothes to the raven haired boy, then turned around, facing a wall so Jack would feel a bit more comfortable. He heard a slight shuffle and registered that Jack had done the same.

How temped Alex was to turn around and pounce on the younger boy, rip the remaining clothes off and ravage his body. He couldn't help himself, he really liked him. No, Alex isn't ready to label his feelings with a stronger emotion. Fuck, he won't even recognize his emotions half the time, this is progress. Alex caved in, becoming submissive to the devil perched on his shoulder, and shoo'd the angel away telling him that he was no right the do so. It's not like he isn't going to hell anyways, might as well have fun with it. It doesn't do him any good to have Jack so vulnerable in his fucking boxers right there. So low on his hips, clinging to every curve, complimenting his perfect ass. Alex sighed, turning back around and pulling his shirt off. He was sure Jack wouldn't mind his shirtlessness, he probably has noticed by now Alex hates wearing shirts. And maybe a little bit of him wanted to show Jack just what he was missing.

"D-do you want me to sleep on the floor?" Jack asked in a small voice, understanding that Alex is most likely upset with him and doesn't want to even look at him.

Alex turned to face the raven haired boy. "No! No, uh, if you don't want to sleep with me, I mean not with me, of course, like sexually, unless you wanted to, but uh, yeah you can take the bed if you really don't want to be near me right now. I, uh, I get it." Alex rambled, his thoughts weren't even up to speed with his mouth.

"No, I don't want you to have to sleep on the floor. Hell, it's your room. So, uh, since you don't mind we could, like, share your bed?" Jack asked just to be sure.

"Yeah. Yeah, that sounds… nice." Alex responded.

Jack stood awkwardly, waiting for Alex to climb into bed. "Go on, I know you like the side near the wall." Alex laughed as a blush speed over Jack's cheeks. He had a slight confidence boost knowing blushes were a rare occurrence and he still had that affect on Jack.

"Why did you rush me out of your house the other day?" Jack asked after a moment of silence.

Alex sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "It's complicated, Jay, can we talk about it another time?"

"I don't get it," Jack started, shaking his head, "I mean, you want me back, and then I want you back and you won't have me, and then you want me back again!"

"Jack, I promise, if you catch me at another time I'll explain everything, alright?"

"I guess so." Jack mumbled before turning on his side and facing the wall.

They said their goodnights and Alex waited until Jack was softly snoring before he wrapped his arms around the younger, putting his chin on top of his head and snuggling as close as he could to Jack, pleased when he cooperated and let Alex shift them into a comfortable position.

The brunette lifted his head as he head the door open. Alex mentally cursed himself, Rian didn't know Jack was over. And since all he could see if Alex's exposed torso, he probably thought a lot worse than sleeping happened.

And Alex knew, oh how he knew, that Rian wasn't approving of this right now. Alex isn't exactly sure why, even thought it's probably evident and Alex's mind is occupied with every little movement of Jack's. His back pressing against Alex's chest with every exhale; pulling slightly away with every intake of breath. How his hands had placed themselves over Alex's, creating spots of inferno where skin touched skin. The way his legs were tangled with Alex's. Rian gave him a disapproving shake of his head to match his ice cold glare before tuning to leave, Zack hot on his trail. Alex didn't miss the thumbs up the green eyed boy had stuck out behind hid back. The brunette closed his eyes, focusing purely on Jack's warmth against his chest.

A/N: SORRY FOR ANY TYPOS I HATE REREADING MY WORK SO I HARDLY EDIT IT.

Authors, please read below!

Okay I rushed through this for a reason. I'm working on my new fic which I probably won't start posting until April. If I can even wait that long, I'm not a very patient person. The thing is, I need someone to act like... almost a consultant. Reason being; I don't want to repeat anything in my next fic. Also! I'm going to try and change up my writing style and I want to see how that goes. I have the prologue written, so if anyone is interested comment or something. You wouldn't be a co-writer, but just be on daily so I can inbox you like "should Jalex fuck yet or no" or "how would this sound" so it's not anything major. (Unless you're down to chat and I can harass your inbox.) Maybe the whole fic will be a huge bust and I'll give up, who knows. Okay, well, thanks!
