Homeowner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The condo is officially mine. That part seemed amazingly easy, although I'm not sure if I signed future generations away or not. :-D The walkthrough revealed that even though I can't see color too well, the husband and wife who built it and sold it to me loved the combo of midnight blue carpet and room-darkening black mini-blinds. I've started getting utliities set up or transferred - I'm one of those people who can't imagine being without CNN for a day, so cable and cable modem are at the top of the list. I'll have the same home phone number for those of you who have it.
I'll move next week - everyone at work basically took over and said "we're moving you - we've got everything we need," so I'll provide beer and pizza - cheapest move I've had in quite some time.
Other than some higher stress levels and some anxiety about precisely coordinating everything, the rest just feels surreal, sort of like it's happening to someone else and I've just got a really good view. I expect the reality will hit when I make the first mortgage payment!
