Holy cow.

and I thought anal bleaching was extreme.

Vag dye. If your labia just aren't a socially acceptable shade of pink.

My little feminist heart is crying!

Why would your feminism be angry? I mean, if a woman wants to dye her labia, shouldn't she able to do so?

are you seriously asking this question? The fact that this product exists makes a huge statement about what is expected from women - we've got an unreasonable standard that we are expected to meet. even our genitals are expected to be porn-star perfect.

You don't know that. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that a woman came up with such a product. Having lived with a large group of men for long periods of time, I have heard some pretty detailed examination of the female body and never ONCE have I EVER heard ANYONE discuss the color of the female labia.

Most beauty products are made BY women FOR women.

Who makes them isn't relevant. Did i say anything about men? one thing? Fuck, i say feminist and you assume it is man-bashing.

And I don't know about the standards women are expected to meet? right ... i've obviously got no perspective in that department.

The standards women are expected to meet had nothing whatsoever to do with the point I was making.

And, I apologize for aggravating you, but my point remains. I don't understand how having a product that dyes labia has anything to do with feminism. To me, feminism has always meant gender equality and campaigning for women's rights and interests. This seems more an issue of crass consumerism/capitalism.
