advice needed

so i have an 8 month old chihuahua/yorkie mix and for some reason in the last couple days she has become very possesive of my bedroom and bed when it comes to the other dog or cats she will literally charge at them growling and snarling until they leave my room this is a recent behaviou that just started after i got her spayed on wednesday she ( ... )

Victoria Stilwell addresses this frequently on her show. She has the person 1) make a sharp noise "ah-ah" and 2) immediately remove the dog from the area. If she's on your lap - you put her on the floor. On the bed - put her on the floor. Etc.
And repeat every single time she does it.

I love Victoria's methods.

I think she also gives a treat when the dog doesn't growl and charge as a reward for proper behavior...and on the show the dog is trained in about 2 minutes ;o)

your dog is probably not feeling well since she just had an operation and is being territorial because she is nervous i recommend you make sure she has a place to feel safe like her crate you can acclimate her to it with rewards if it is currently a negative place for her which sometimes happens but you can do this by rewarding her for getting closer and eventually going inside her crate then be sure the other animals do not approach her while she is in the crate

The recovery from spay surgery can be more painful for some dogs and you may see increased behaviors during that time. The solution is to offer a safe place to rest and recover, without the added pressures of other pets invading her space.
