WT: Snuggly Bug
Wordy Thursday:
I had a omgyay! moment with Maya and her reactivity yesterday. We live in a condo, and beside our building there are actual heritage houses with sprawling yards and fancy gates. For whatever reason, there was a burly golden on the driveway of the house beside our exit door, and when we turned off the condo property and up the street I didn't see him until he was practically on top of us. Maya's usual reaction to the charging, barking dog would have been "DIE!!BARKBARKSNARLBITE" but yesterday, she looked at me, looked at him, and looked back at me and walked past him without even a growl or a flinch. She just casually put herself on my other side and maintained eye contact and a calm demeanor. We have been drilling LAT games and "Watch Me's" for the last two-three weeks after our doodle incident at the park, and what a difference. I'm proud of my neurotic border mutt!
