Avengers Trailer Remade
My entry for the Not That Genre challenge, a remake of the Avengers trailer.
Cast (in order of appearance)
Loki: Borg Queen (Star Trek Voyager)
Clint Barton / Hawkeye: Seven of Nine (Star Trek Voyager)
Nick Fury: Zoe Washburne (Serenity)
Tony Stark / Iron Man: Toph Beifong (Avatar the Last Airbender)
Natasha Romanov / Black Widow: Kathryn Janeway (Star Trek Voyager)
Steve Rogers / Captain America: Ana Lucia Cortez (Lost)
Bruce Banner / Hulk: B’Elanna Torres (Star Trek Voyager)
Thor: Poussey Washington (Orange is the New Black)
I actually put quite a bit of thought into this. Since Clint was controlled by Loki and Natasha freed him, Seven and Janeway were the logical choice for Clint and Natasha and the Borg Queen for Loki.
Zoe makes a perfect Fury, all pragmatic and leader-y and Toph is an amazing Tony, out for fun and quipping. B’Elanna was my first choice for Hulk, as with the whole ‘having a monster inside of you’ and Ana is a perfect Captain America, always standing up for those in need, doing what’s right over what’s easy.
Thor is the only one I couldn’t really find anyone for, so in the end I went by what he’s doing in the trailer and that is laughing and looking irritated, so I took the character who has the best laugh and the best ‘WTF?’ face, and that was Poussey. I think it works pretty well. Not sure if Mjölnir would mind being replaced by a book, but well… :D
