When I was younger (HS/early college) I use to show dogs. I showed a variety of breeds and I miss it dearly. I cannot wait till I have my own place and enough money to support the habit because I want a show dog so badly. So here are my top 10 breeds I'd love to own and/or show

DOGGIES!!!!

My favorites are Collies (mainly because I grew up with one XD) but Corgis are soooo adorable, and Swiss Mountain Dogs and Irish Setters are just some of the most beautiful ones out there <333

My aunt breeds and shows chihuahuas, so I've been to more dog shows than I can remember. They were always so much fun! But yes, expensive hobby.

:D It's kind of the reason I want more short coated dogs. Less grooming supplies needed!

That is probably the one breed where I'd have to be dead and brought back to life again before I'd ever own.... I have yet to meet a nice and friendly chi. I don't hate a lot of things but I hate Chihuahuas.

I agree, there are a lot of nasty chi's out there. But shockingly, a bunch of my aunt's are just mushes. Her newest puppy is just.. SO YUMMY! I wanna eat her right up and she snuggles right into you, UGH. A LOT has to do with which lines they come from, I've really noticed this. Every dog that's come out of Wolfie's line (he died a while ago, omg, he was my looooove) has had amazing temperaments. We bought from this midwest breeder and it took TONS of socialization before the dog would even let anyone near it. Ugh. So it's hit or miss, definitely.

My mom used to breed dalmatians! Definitely not show ones though -- our girl, Phantom, had a patch over half her face, and Dad & all us kids had to convince mom that that was the dog for our family. Which turned out to be for the best... since she was breeding them as pets, not show dogs, people always wanted the ones with patches first!

We currently have a corgi, though!
