Fandom Food Challenge
I decided to make pies in honor of my favorite show, Pushing Daisies.
I wanted to try different types of pies than I've made before. I love baking pie, but I have never even thought of making a pecan pie before. My dad had fresh pecans, which he cracked to make this pie. It's a Spiced Rum Pecan Pie, which intrigued me. I like trying different variations of existing pies. The other pie I made is Cranberry Orange. I wanted something cheery to be reminiscent of Pushing Daisies. I thought Chuck would want to make something with these flavors. I have wanted to make pies again for a while recently, but I needed people to be around to share them, so the holidays was a great excuse. I'm very excited for tonight, so my family can try the pies I've made.
I'm sorry that the picture isn't pretty. I meant to take some while I was making them, but I forgot after I put them in the oven already. They are baking now, and I'm excited to try them tonight with all my family who are coming over for Christmas Eve. I'm excited to try many different pie recipes throughout my life. I love exploring new posibilities. Pie is one of my favorite things to make, and it's mostly to do with Pushing Daisies. I never loved pie as much before. I never disliked it, but Pushing Daisies made me realize how much I love it, especially how much I love making it. I love the idea of changing recipes and adding things, and even just seeing what I have in the house, and creating my own pie recipe. The one time I made a peach mango pie was entirely just because I had some mangos and peaches around. I made a chocolate cherry pie once, and I just kept adding different elements to it, hoping to create something unique and tasty.
