I was tasked with recasting Andy Sachs, Bill Adama, Colonel Mustard, Dana Scully, Ellie Sattler, and Penelope Garcia! YIKES, this was hard! But I think I made the right choices!

I picked Michelle Rodriguez because she's a badass but she also has that youthful appearance that made people underestimate Andy. But Michelle Rodriguez could definitely stand up to Miranda Priestly.
When I thought about who should play Bill... I thought who would Laura have chemistry with because I'm all about Space!Parents, so I thought what about her actual husband?? Bonus points, he's a good actor!
I had a tough time at first because I grew up with this movie and Martin Mull IS Col. Mustard! But I picked George Segal because he does comedy well and being the butt of a joke (like from Just Shoot Me) and could have fulfilled that role with ease.

This one was a little daunting for me as well but then Lucy Liu became the clear choice. First of all, like Gillian, she's a beautiful ageless goddess, but she also has that affect where she can be cool, calm and rational, like she is as Joan Watson.
I think she has the right range to be kind of earnest and also badass and take charge and could totally lecture you on sexism in survival situations.
Carrie made a huge impression on me as Elsbeth Tascioni in The Good Wife 'verse, she's awesomely quirky and I think she'd be an awesome Garcia.
