Just a quick update on my Sunday. It's a long time since I've had such a fruitful and enjoyable Sunday, both with the mister and family.
The day started with a dim sum lunch with the mister's family for Mothers' Day. Honestly, I am still quite an awkward turtle infront of his family till today, ha ha. I know right, you must be thinking it's a joke, cos we've been together for almost five years, and his family have seen me countless times. I frequent his place at least once a week, so there shouldn't be any reason I should feel awkward but yes, part of me still am. It's my problem and I know it, I'm the kind of introvert that won't start conversations until someone initiates... So... Meh. Hoping for things to improve!! I need to put in more effort, it's not like his family is mean to me. They are and have ALWAYS been accommodating and really nice towards me.
Coffee break at Anthesis, nearby Liang Court since we had lunch there. I like that place, a lot, as you can tell. Just Robertson Quay in general. It's a reasonably crowded area, peaceful enough. Plus, my favourite Toby's there! Heh. We gave Toby's a miss today cos it was waaaay too crowded. Anthesis wasn't bad as back up either :)
Brought the mister over to the grandma's for dinner. It's his first!! Haha yay. I like that feeling a lot. It means so much to me when we reach this stage, and both our families are accepting/have accepted who we are. Everyone's happy for one another, and it's just great. My grandma's cooking will always be the bomb. Weird language there, but her home cooked food's superb. We all crave for such meals, right? Especially people like me who dine out EVERYDAY, yup, every single meal everyday, it gets boring. I secretly envy people who can go home to home cooked dinners. Please don't take it for granted if you are one of those people! Thankful for that source of home cooked food and for a grandma who cooks my favourite when she knows I'm coming for dinner :)
Post-dinner was even more exciting. My mum initiated for a bowling session (cos her company's going for a bowling retreat soon, and she wants to learn), which was also the first. So many 'first's today!! Popped over to WCRC and bam, 3 games each, we had so much good laughter and fun. I realised my dad's a pro, just like the mister. They belong to the advanced level, with each game topping more than 130 points... While I belong to the average player, hitting 80 to 100 odd pins a game, ha ha. Mummy's new so... She guttered her way through all the games, lol. We did try our very best to teach her, she needs more practice! Can foresee more of such sessions coming up since both of my parents enjoyed it so much ;)
Ended the night with a drink at West Coast Park's Mac. Cheers to quality time, and more quality time :)
Hope everyone's Sunday was as enjoyable too xx
