[Alex is keeping himself busy up in the clothier tower this morning, if the video feed is any kind of hint. He's rather focused on some rather minute stitching and in the background Rossini's Barber of Seville can be heard playing from his laptop.

When he speaks, he's still focused on his stitching, but looks up after a moment.]Anyone hard pressed

*Isabella already offered to make stuff for him, but Jacob feels bad making one person to all the work and, well, this guy is offering.*

If you don't mind, I wouldn't mind something new to wear now and then. I've got, um, sort of interesting tailoring requirements, though.

*Derp, he should have just done video, oh well.*

[Alex's expression warms as he gets his first reply, even if it's from someone he doesn't recognize.]

I would be more than willing to give you an option or three more... And, please, you don't have to worry about making it up to me or anything. I'm kinda bored out of my skull right now, and sewing keeps me busy.

[It's the tailoring comment that earns a grin, though.]

As to your concerns about tailoring, don't worry... I've picked up a few things since coming here and had to make adjustments to some of my own clothing for when I shift. Only so many pairs of pants and shirts can be ruined before you finally change how you make things.

I feel kind of awkward not making favours up to people, though.
Well, you don't have to worry about shifting, I just need a few extra holes in the shirts.

[Alex's gaze moves over the video footage as it kicks on, taking in the wings on Jacob's back. His smile broadens, if anything, because he suddenly feels a bit more secure in his initial security.]

Well, we can figure it out, I guess, but really it's not a big deal. I've actually adjusted clothing for Isabella before so I think the biggest change will just be male garments compared to female and I've made both... have you met her, yet?

[Then he shakes his head, setting aside his stitching to talk properly.]

No, I don't mind at all... I shift into a leopard. I can take a fully feline form and a half man/leopard form on top of original recipe Alex.

*Jacob smiles and nods.*

I have! She's helped me by making alterations for me already, but I didn't want her to have to do all the work.

Ah...interesting. I don't think I've ever met anyone who could shapeshift. Well, before I came here, at least.

[Alex returns smiles for smiles, brightening as he says that he's met Isabella already.]

I helped her with some clothes in the past myself, so I think I can handle the wing thing.

[A soft chuckle at that, his expression softening.]

I hadn't met anyone with wings before coming here... we have the fae folk back home, but I never saw any of them. I think the fact that we meet so many different people here is one of the things I really like about it.

Good to meet you, Jacob... I'm... I've already covered it, but I'm Alex.

[He's amused at his own repetition, but rolls with it. He notes that Jacob seems to be walking as he speaks and moves to make room around him. He's currently surrounded by fabric and such.]

Yeah, I didn't know anything remotely supernatural was out there until a few years ago. Everything supernatural popped out into the open and revealed themselves and shortly after that I was attacked by a were-leopard.

[He grins a bit lopsidedly.]

Don't sell yourself short... I think hybrids are pretty damn cool, if they look anything remotely like you.

*He's almost there, so Jacob waits until he gets into the tower and finds Alex to reply.*

*He certain looked the same as on the video, but it wasn't polite to assume.*

[Alex heard someone approaching, but seeing Jacob is far more satisfying than simply expanding upon what alterations would be needed. Sure, video feed was one thing, but in person was a whole lot better.]

[He rises from his sewing bench and smiles in welcome, gesturing around himself.]

*Jacob looks around, smiling.*

I can see that. Did you just pick it up here or did you do this sort of thing before?

[His gaze follows Jacob's as it sweet the room and his weight shifts idly from one hip to the other, hands resting on them.]

I did a lot of costuming and sewing back home... just kinda took it up when I got here as a way to pass the time. When folks ended up really needing things, it began to serve an actual purpose.

I don't mind, though. I enjoy it.

Well, I'm glad you had a hobby that you were still able to do here, then. It seems like a little too much for me, though, I've never been good at altering things.

[Alex grins a bit wryly and nods.]

Yeah, thankfully my hobbies didn't include water-skiing or skateboarding.

[Then a wry smile as he nods.]

Not too many people do the sewing thing because they enjoy it, that's for sure. I've done theatre costuming for years, though, so that helps for sure.
