Hey everyone, please pass this info to anyone/everyone you know in the B/G community.
I've reinstated the domain name for one year. The site should be back up sometime today.
Because of the issues with continually asking for hosting donations etc. and the fact that all of your friendly neighborhood mods have got shit to do, I am turning over control of the site to the Organization for Transformative Works, which will be transferring all of the fanfiction over to the AO3. I'm not sure what the timeline is for that, because they've got to import everything and code it for their site, but I just this past week approved a list of tags for fanfics that include ratings, ships, etc.
IF YOU HAVE FICS ON THE BUFFYGILES WEBSITE keep an eye out for those fics appearing on AO3. They are going to try to connect fics with usernames on BG.net to matching usernames on AO3 but yall know how that goes.
I will try to keep you all updated on the transfer as it goes along. Again, please pass this info to anyone you know in B/G fandom, especially any authors you may be in contact with.
