[ Judging by the slight bob of the camera and the occasional glimpse of a building, Talim is walking as she's recording. She's making her way from the gym to the Pokémon Center. Talim smiles, holding something up for the camera to see.

[Pfff. And this is Riku, with no respect for Gym Leaders. He's also got his Scizor chilling behind him. She makes a soft, but high pitched shriek and looks over Riku's shoulder. A Scyther! That's a Scyther! ...and a person who would want to be a leader? Ooh.

Riku, on the other hand, looks amused.]

I'm sure you'd be a better than the sad excuses they call 'elite' trainers. All the Gym Leaders are good for is losing, if you ask me.

[ Syi Salika pokes his head over Talim's shoulder as well, cocking his head at the Scizor ]

Losing is part of the job, on some level. Gym leaders must present a certain amount of challenge, yes, but they can't be impossible to beat or no one would get anywhere.

[Sometimes Blade wishes she was still a Scyther! Scythers aren't so heavy, and they can actually fly... but Blade also likes being strong. Yeah, she's not sure where she's going with this. Uh... snapsnap? These pincers, they are impressive.]

Guess you've got a point. Still, wish it was easier to find tough trainers. I've only lost one battle over the past year because my team's so overpowered.

[ There are merits to both, Syi Salika thinks. But he enjoys his speed, and being able to fly quite a bit. He doubts his trainer has even considered evolving him. ]

Goodness. What level are they at?

[Riku likes the type coverage. So many resistances and only one weakness... but it does make fire hurt a lot! That's no fun.]

Level 100, except three that are in the 90's.

[ Ah yes, he watched his trainer beat Bugsy's Scizor with fire. That didn't look fun at all. ]

Wow. It's no small wonder you don't lose much.

[Riku was really mean to that Scizor! He made Flare use Blast Burn on it to humiliate Bugsy... but it was cool! And Riku is the best trainer!

Insert fangirlish rant. Oh, Blade.]

I train pretty hard, but pretty soon I won't have anything to train. Should only be a few weeks before my last three are maxed out.

[ 'Lika just snorts, shaking his head a little. He's amused by her, at least. ]

Mm. What happens after that, I wonder?

Nothing, I guess. I mean, I could catch new Pokémon, but I already have about eighteen. Do I really need to add to that?

[As is, he has to swap them around a lot to make sure they're all in good shape.]

Not really. That's already two teams and then some.

Perhaps you could help others train their pokémon? It seems to me you're more than qualified.

Maybe. What do you mean by help, though? Battle tips or something else?

I'm not really sure. Humans spar when they want to improve their combat skills, so why can't pokémon do the same?

Hmm. So I could put them up for 'rent' as some sort of battle partners?

[Interesting prospect, this is.]

In a sense, yes. Or perhaps you could start your own variation of a pokémon gym, only it would be more of a training center.

I could, but I'd have to find a place to set it up.
