I woke up at 6:30 this morning. Last night I went to see the school musical (yes, that counts as a "night out" in my life). They did The Wiz, and it was a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed it. Only one of the kids can sing, but the rest tried really hard, and had so much fun with it, and it was hard not to get swept up in the joy. But when I got home, I was in a lot of pain. Since I haven't been sleeping with my old combo of Aleve and Vicodin, I decided to try Aleve and Temazepam (sleeping pills). After an hour, I wasn't asleep, and I was still in ridiculous amounts of pain, so I called Doc (my father-in-law/primary care physician). He said I could take Vicodin with what I had already taken, and that it would help with the pain. I asked "if I've already taken a sleeping pill, I can still take Vicodin?" He said yeah, and I verified, "and I won't turn into Heath Ledger?" He said, "Well, unless you've been drinking." So I took the Vicodin, which took a while to kick in, and then was able to fall asleep. Today he called to check on me, and he said that I need to take the Vicodin/Aleve/Temazepam combo an hour before bedtime. So we'll see how that goes tonight.
As a result, though, I woke up at 6:30 this morning. I couldn't fall back asleep, so I came into the office, and discovered that the Internet is pretty boring early on Saturday morning. However, I did end up talking to my best friend for a long time, which made my whole day. He'll be back from Korea in 3 months.
I also went shopping today. I went to Target to buy an accent table (long story), and also bought some random household stuff, and two Mizrahi dresses. My stepsister works for Target, and said he didn't renew the contract with them, so I suppose I'd better snatch up as much Mizrahi stuff as I can before it's gone.
I should be grading papers. That's just a whole world of "I don't want to."
