Today, I received the weirdest comment. It might not seem very strange to you, but it definitely was to me, I didn't really know how to feel about it.

I was sitting at my desk, reading Smashed, an autobiography of this girl's battle with alcohol, when this HR girl came over to give me my leave form. She glanced at my book for a really long while and I had no idea why, it had quite an inconspicuous cover. So finally, after she babbled on about what to fill and whatnot, she asked, ever so casually, whether the book was any good. I said yeah, I like it a lot and asked if she wanted to take a look at it. So she read the blurb while I filled in the form and after she was done, she went, "Oh. This book is for heavy drinkers." I was like "EXCUSE YOU. I am not a heavy drinker. >:(" I didn't really know what else to say. It could be a teasing jibe or a thinly veiled insult for all I know. But I'm thinking it's more of the latter cause she then forced a smile, you know the kind where it's like you're feeling uncomfortable and just want to run off kind, and promptly well, ran off.

I should feel insulted.

(This is such a terrible story. This is why I can never write recount shits for English lessons.)
