This is mostly just because I wanted to get it down for reference and to put a little perspective on the way I play Jolyne. Obviously the stuff here is my personal headcanon, meaning there's no evidence of it ever happening in the actual canon, blah blah. It really only applies to Jolyne as I play her, so.

>> Although Jolyne had a rocky relationship with her father, she was actually pretty friendly with her great-uncle Josuke (who is only 10 years older than her) and with her father's friend Jean Pierre Polnareff. Because she talked with both of them quite a lot when she was younger, she heard bits and pieces of Jotaro's exploits during Parts 3 & 4. This is part of the reason she started seriously disliking her father, aside from his perpetual absence from her life: the way Josuke and Polnareff described him, he sounded like this great guy who took care of things no matter what. ...except that didn't seem to be the case for her. After she joined a gang in her mid-teens, she stopped communicating with them.

>> Jolyne speaks fluent English and Japanese. She knows a few random words in Italian thanks to her mother, and can swear in French thanks to Polnareff. (okay, well all of this is SORT OF present in canon - the bit about Italian and French is based on her using the country-specific hand signs for 'fuck you')

>> She calls the prison "GD street." Mostly because telling people you live in the "Green Dolphin Street Jail" makes a bad first impression. Also because it sounds better.

>> She likes action flicks. I also like to think that GD street has DVDs available in the library, but no actual DVD players readily available unless you want to shell out the money to buy a portable one from the in-jail store. Jolyne, obviously, doesn't have one. Her old room-mate Guess, however, does.

Will add more as the situation arises.
