This song spent a long time in the process of being created. Truth be told, it will probably change again before too long. But for now, here's a snap shot of where it is. Thanks for watching.

Orion

Gaze at the sunrise
Or squint in the moonlight
All these places that I’ve been
Trying to find your heart again

At the bottom of a bottle
I learned penitence
Sometimes our souls can stain
Just like wine on lace

So in my own winter
I walked these city streets
It’s hard to tell the real from dream
Purest love or a lust so cheap

From the veranda
One week in a season’s grasp
Chilled to bones without a coat
Bare as snow but warm with hope

I thought the spring had come
And I had found my peace
But it seems there’s still for me
At least a little more time to grieve

So scarred with a memory
Brandishing newborn fears
Found a home, she held me safe
But I could never escape that pain
