High school. a new end.

Tomorrow is THE day. Tomorrow night at 7pm on the high school front lawn. That's when and where the Class of 2005 of Muncy High School will end a career and a period in the lives of us but where a new one will begin.

I haven't really felt the realization that tomorrow night I'm going to be cut free from what I've been exposed to for the past 13 years. It's weird. I mean, I'm excited to graduate, but this day came way too fast. Faster than any of us probably expected. I've had such an amazing time in school (minus the class part but even then times were hilarious). There are sooo many memories I have from high school, even elementary school. It's weird how time changes things. The elementary school doesn't even look the same as it did when I went there. It's more high tech and confusing. We've all went through stages of learning, friendships and relationships. Looking back on the years, the one thing I would have changed would be to get to know more of my class, but all things happen for a reason. We all know that.

Everything has their endings also, which lead to new beginnings. We're all going our separate ways after we graduate, be it today, tomorrow, next week, so have you. The most important thing we need to know is that the memories we've made together will always follow us.

(And from my speech, I'll add this:) To the Class of 2005, no matter where you go, who you are with, what you do with your life, Muncy will always be here to refresh those dusty and worn out pages in your books you’ve created here. So it’s not really a farewell forever, because we’ll remember each other in our hearts.

I just want to let you all know, that no matter where you end up in life, I'll always remember you. We may not have been the best of friends, or even exchanged words, but I'll remember you because I know you. I know that I'll miss some of you, if not most of you. You all have a special place in my heart and memories. Who knows where our paths may lead us. We might even end up marrying someone we never spoke to in high school, or we might even marry our best friend. Who knows? I know I don't. And I'm sure that a lot of you out there don't know either.

I pray that God leads you in the right directions. I pray that the plan He has for you works out. Even if you don't believe, or rather care, about God or religion, I want you to know that I will be praying for you even if you don't. We've grown and lived together through these years. I believe that if you make the best out of your life, high school experiences, and keep learning, you'll head in the right direction and you'll go far. You don't need to be the top of the class to be successful. You don't need to be the most popular or athletic or musical to succeed. If you haven't already, work on figuring yourself out because it'll help shape your future. Don't worry about not know what you want to do THIS INSTANT for the rest of your life. It's okay. Everything will be just fine.

God bless and I hope you all continue to keep the memories alive.
