During lunch, Steph totally brought in the FuFu Berry Jones soda. She's so awesome. Ironically enough when I opened the bottle and looked at the fortune it said: "Your silence at this time is important"
So today was the silent protest in school. I thought it went rather well. At least on my end. Mainly because it was really easy for me to not talk

For one, I don't think you can really grasp what a woman who was raped, or a woman that became pregant in the case of incest, etc, etc...has gone through. When *some* women go through such tramuatic events, they simply can't deal with having a child. Can you honestly say that a twenty year old college junior that has the entire WORLD in front of her, shouldn't have the right to get an abortion if a vile man raped her? Or that that a fifteen year old girl who was raped by her father, whose child would be mentally retarded because of incest, is not allowed to rid herself of such a great burden.
I'm sure that you believe that a couple should not have a baby unless they are fit parents. Can you honestly say that a fifteen year old girl is fit to raise a child born from incest? Or that a girl with the world in front her should be forced to raise a child, when that child came to her from no fault of her own?
Of course, the next argument is bearing the child, then giving it up for adoption. There are, however, some women with so many physical and emotional scars, that they should not be forced to be pregnant to term, then give birth to a child. Neither you nor I are allowed to say whether emotionally and physically scarred women aren't allowed to have an abortion. This has never occured to us. The ONLY WOMEN allowed to have a voice in this matter are those that were raped, those that were hurt beyond our wildest imagination. They are the one's who are should make a decision on this matter.
As for bringing God into this, I myself cannot name any bible verses from the top of my head that directly say abortion is wrong. I'm sure that any religious group, however, could come up with some. My point is is that God is a merciful God. No woman who was raped will burn in eternal damnation because she couldn't bear to have a child. If you think that she will, then you are no better than the man who raped her. Anyone who thinks that God will let his people burn in Hell because they made a desicion in their mortal state, unknowing of what is truly and honestly HIS WORD and HIS LAWS, is just, in my opinion, a bad person.
No raped women will go to Hell for having an abortion. Thinking that is pure ludicurous.
Also, I have my beliefs. I don't think abortion is right, however, making it illegal would be immensely retarded and a VERY poor decision on anyone's part.
Saying that, I believe what a believe and that won't be changed with anyone else's interpretation of bible verses, etc.
