Work ramblings

It's kind of a frustrating thing with me now. I've found out that I'm not very fond of production-like jobs. Granted it consists of sitting in front of a computer 8-9 hours a day, but it gets rather frustrating. Long story short, I draw boxes around items on a flier page. I definitely relate to that feeling where you're fine with your job, and you might even actually be happy with it...if other people would just leave you alone and/or show you a little respect and let you do your thing.

I'm going through the exact same thing with my boss right now. Every encounter with her is a negative one, and just like your boss she sees that I am incredibly busy or behind sometimes and does absolutely nothing to help, in fact she often gives me more work - then goes out for a 2 hour lunch. Luckily she only work M-W, but that's still 3 fifth's of my week that she makes suck. I've decided to not take any more crap from her, as I'm sure that I am actually doing a good job. In fact I've been waiting for her to criticize me so I can let her know exactly how I feel about her belittling attitude. Strangely - she hasn't said anything mean to me lately, maybe she can sense my frustration.

I recommend saying something to that guy next time he mouths off at you. Nothing crazy, nothing emotional. Just something like "You know you should take yourself less seriously. I'm here workin' just like you are. Go have some dip."

Best of luck to you Brad.

Next time he lashes out again, I'm definitely going to have to say something to him and/or my boss. It's one thing to correct somebody, but it's definitely something else to belittle them.

Sorry about the boss. It's one thing to have a squaff with a coworker, but another thing to have one with your boss. Maybe we can tell them both to go have some dip and not be the dip! Okay enough with the potato chip humor.
