Exposure
Pictures as promised. I've been saying for a long time (ever since it got long enough to be a complete mess, for example) that I would make my hair straight, because it's naturally quite curly and when it's long and thick like it is now it gets a bit... crazy. Well I finally did it today, but although I took many pictures they're all awful apart from one or two. Anyway, this is the result:
If for nothing else, then just to prove my hair is not black, so stop telling me it is!
I have a strange fascination with taking pictures like this:
Yeah, so that's that. Did look a bit weird to me at first, but I'll probably get used to it. Happy overall, anyone agree/disagree? And whilst I'm posting pictures, this is the t-shirt that Graham gave me:
I found out the day I'm going to Oxford is actually... today. So, good. It won't be as peaceful as I though, because family is going, but I'm sure I can find a nice balance with seeing them and escaping by myself. Although as Graham so helpfully pointed out, it's going to be rather hard not to spend 100% of the time just remembering my time there with Shanna.
I watched 'Minority Report' whist I was downstairs, which was very good. I'd heard of it before, but it didn't sound very interesting by name. Enjoyed it a lot though, mainly because like other 'futuristic' films I've enjoyed, it's more or less believeable. Not completely, but the world is convincing enough that I can accept it and concentrate on the story rather than validating everything I see. Which is good, because the story itself is a good bit of writing, I thought.
Also, because I keep for no apparent reason reaching across to my mouse with my left hand, I decided that if it wants it it can have it, and moved my mouse to the left side. I'm still not as fast or precise as I am with the right hand, but not by a long way. It's been there for a day and a half now, and I think after a week I should be fully proficient with either hand. The only bad side-effect it's had is it's messed up my typing slightly, because it means my keyboard is further to the right than it used to be and I keep hitting the wrong keys, but I'm adapting to that.
I did also say I'd give more of an update, but I'm going to put it off a little more. I am Elder Procrastinator after all.
