So, today is for final preparations for Darius tomorrow. I want this meeting to go perfectly, and so there's a few things to do, one of them being to prepare a final invoice for the project. Even if we don't give it to him 'officially' tomorrow, I want him to see the cost as we work it out, and make sure that he agrees to it and doesn't have any disputes with the total. Then, we'll give him a clearly defined list of the things he needs to do, and make sure everybody is certain about exactly what needs to happen. Also, we want to arrange a date to give some basic training to the operatives of the software, and I want to do this tomorrow - a 'we'll arrange a time later' won't make me happy. When he's completed his tasks, we'll take the staff through a couple of live orders, and then set the site live too, and give him his final bill with the usual 30 day requirement to pay it.
On other business matters, we should get onto chasing up those who haven't responded to our letters too, in the hope that an extra poke might push them far enough to at least give us a chance to sell the benefits to them. Last I heard we were meeting Tony on Friday, but I'll have to check with Graham if that's still accurate.
Randomly browsing through some sites I read regularly...
WTF, mate?. What's the point, really? lol, is nobody happy with their own biology anymore? Got to love the 'mandatory picture of woman enjoying new-found freedom' though; so true. 'course we're guilty of the same thing,
our site is full of useless images, but they do just help it look more complete.
I've now pwned the free part of the piano lessons I was following, and whilst I'm very impressed with it. In just two days I've got much better, and though I know that's partly just because I learn very quickly anyway, it's still been the best tutorial I've had, and I've tried quite a few books and things. When I can, I might just be tempted to pay for the rest of the lessons. It's somewhat sad that the last thing I get to play for free is the 'ABC Song', but then again, it doesn't really mean much to me. It does annoy me when people say things like 'I can play [famous tune], therefore I pwn j00!', because that's just not true. I don't care what you can play, it's not about how many pieces of music you've memorised, it's about your actual music reading and playing skill, your coordination etc. No, I've not played anything particularly interesting yet, but my playing has improved a lot, and I'm pleased with that.
I was sure that one of my teeth was falling out... but now they all seem perfectly solid. Eh, must have been a dream.
Finally, I had a lot of trouble with my MP3 player lately, with the scrolly thing refusing to scroll upwards, only downwards. I couldn't get it to work again, so I contacted Creative support, and whilst they're your typical patronising technical support team, to be fair they have accepted the return, and I can now send mine in for a replacement. Good enough for me.
Now I think I'm going to make some tea, and find something to do until Graham comes on a little later, so we can discuss all that needs to be done. Byes!
