Chief Engineer's Log // Viewable to Enterprise Crew
I've been in this dimension for nearly a week, give or take a day or so, and whilst I've witnessed a rather nasty bit of business regarding a curse and some rather angry inhabitants (or as Dr. McCoy fondly refers to them, "prisoners"), I, myself, remain unaffected. As of yet, It would seem that only Ensign Chekov has been affected by the powers of this City, but what the future holds, only time will tell.
A rather pleasant, if not enigmatic, gentleman by the name of Tony Stark has graciously offered me a position at his company. He hails from an alternate reality of Earth which is currently in its early 21st century, but many of his consoles and assorted machinations should greatly expedite the repairs of the shuttlecraft. If luck and materials be on my side, she should be space worthy by 1800 hours, Wednesday.
With Mr. Stark and his capable staff at my disposal, the shuttlecraft's repairs are well underway, leaving me with time to see to my other tasks. Captain Kirk has tasked me with researching the transporter system present here with the assistance of Ensign Chekov. The potential of these sending and receiving pads interests me greatly, as does the potential of one William Bordan. I'll ask him to accompany us.
End Log
Ms. Noble, yer recommendations for both the hardened diamond casing and the improvised anti-matter injection system are blazing successes! Were ye a member o' my staff, I'd recommend ye for commendation, lass.
Mr. Chekov, we are te examine the transporter system of this city. We need tae get on tha', lad.
William Bordan, if I may ha' a word wi' ye, lad.
Also, it's come tae my attention these...transporters may be powered by magic, so if any of ye are interested in helpin' us research them, the magically inclined mind ye, please, step forward.
