As for goals?
Haircut is getting regular maintenance. Bree (hairdresser) went crazy with the color, but I like the effect!
Yearly physical? Check. See below
Chiropractor? Not yet.
Gym renewal? Check.
Sparkpeople? Not yet.
Clean apartment? Well, I took a carload to Goodwill already.
1) Been busier than a one-legged man in a dance contest. Work's ramping up for Black Friday and the December shopping rush, opened 3 new stores in the last month, and a server bug hit most of the stores. Not to mention two of the busiest restaurants we service getting printer issues. *head desk*
2) I worked dayshift for a week to cover a guy with child care issues. A week's worth of jet lag followed by my body deciding to protest in the form of a (thankfully mild) cold.
3) Annual checkup. Most of me checks out okay, but the doctor suspects my thyroid is under-performing. It might explain a few things, such as why I can't seem to lose any weight despite working out 5 times a week.
So...a little Google search and came up with a few things. Cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, mustard greens, kale, spinach, peaches, pears, strawberries, radishes, and (especially) soy supposedly don't do you any favors.
*check fridge...spinach, kale, broccoli, cauliflower, frozen strawberries, frozen peaches, soy milk, tofu, miso...*
Well, crap.
Supposedly fish and seaweed are good ideas, though. Bring on the sushi?

marcmarq is an absolute sweetie! I hope he did not catch whatever I had, as you really aren't supposed to be manning a kitchen with a cold. Still, he came over and we watched movies until I zonked out.
5) And here comes the Holidays - where the usual bickering relations situation goes from "something that makes me sad to think about" to "I'm team Switzerland and pouring a double Manhattan as soon as I hit home."
