Regarding 9-11
I might post later about a "where were you" and all that, but I was on LJ at that point, and my reactions and all are documanted already.
That being said, the best middle finger we can extend to our enemies is to keep calm and carry on; to resist the urge to lash out at peacable Muslim neighbors (of whyich Seattle has many), to refuse to accept the rule of weapons over the rule of law. To resist economic jihad as much as the religious kind.
My contribution that day was to roll up my sleeve and give a double unit of platelets, followed by donating to Planned Parenthood, since privation and the dilemma of too many mouths to feed and too little nutritious food to feed them is a great motivator for any demagogue regardless of stripe.
In the words of Mother Jones: "Pray for the dead and fight like hell for the living."
