How can you be certain?

He talked to me in what he called his original voice and he spoke properly. But he acts like he isn't so posh. I don't understand that.

Apart from that, he's an annoying git. He keeps harrassing me and won't go away. He's a vampire. He's dangerous.

I do believe it to be a difference of time. Many of the gentlemen I have met from closer to my own century seem far more polite than those of the latter centuries. I believe it may be cultural. I was told I was being rude for suggesting a man not inquire such personal details of others; times change, I expect.

Tell him that you desire time to think and you will contact him again soon. You might purger yourself, but I find sometimes that a lie suits more diligently than an unnecessary slight.

I find that if you expect the worst, than you shall not be disappointed. However, if you expect the best, people will often rise to meet your demands. Treat them with kindness, Mr Malfoy, and you may be surprised how people will respond to you.
