copenhagen's beautiful. stockholm's beautiful. oslo's beautiful. norwegians fjords are beautiful. norwegian wood is beautiful. the north sea is beautiful. the baltic sea is beautiful. germany's national football team is beautiful. england's national football team is beautiful. football itself is beatuiful. thunderstorms are beautiful.

so many beautiful things. but it's good to be home.

i got my glasses yesterday. i don't know what i think about them, yet. i can see clearly, or...more clearly than before. but it's going to take a while to get used to them. compared to everyone else in my family who's had glasses since middle school or elementary school, or ariel who doesn't even have to have 'em.

vacation was ok. besides england losing to portugal which made that day even worse than it already was ((july 1st =( )). germany lost to italy, but beat portugal for third. it was interesting watching the world cup final in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of norwegian dudes all rooting for france.

wayne rooney is not playing the euro '08 qualifier because of his red card on july 1st ((against portugal)). which in itself is a pity, but the game's v. andorra. i didn't even know andorra had an international football team. hmmm...i suppose it's bigger than some countries, smaller than most, tho. he's also fined 5,000 swiss francs. why francs, i don't know. but all that from just that one red card. also he did step on that portugese dude's groin, but oh well...

the zidane//materazzi situation is interesting. two completely different stories, and some parts agree others are just...complete opposites. both sources i believe to be unreliable sources, considering i don't really trust either the french or the italians. materazzi claims he didn't say anything about zizou's family, but zizou claims it was about his mom and his sister. zizou did apologize, but doesn't regret anything. his last game and it's everlasting image, and it's almost how he's going to be remembered in some people's eyes.

ok. this turned out to be about 2 or 3 people's faults during the world cup. *shrugs* oh well...

*sigh* i miss people.
