[Background]
    Tenth's background
I will be taking him post Gridlock, in which he and Martha have just left New New York after saving it from Macra and hearing the Face of Bo's last words to the Doctor, but before they land into 1930's Manhattan. He'll still have a lot of the guilt of losing Rose, but he's travelling with his new companion Martha Jones.

[Personality]
The Doctor is a very complicated character. With every regeneration, not only his looks, but his personality changes. So I'll focus more on the Tenth's personality.

If one could take this regeneration of the Doctor to a psychiatrist, they would most likely diagnose him with Bipolar Disorder and leave him there. He shows signs of usually being in a manic state, energetic and a motor mouth when it comes to things that interest him (which are most things) if no one stops him. He is also quite the scatterbrained man and can get excited over the strangest things; the deadlier and stranger, the better. But at the same time he is arrogant and rude, having little to no tact with others. He is close to merciless and impulsive when it comes to danger and facing an enemy. In the face of danger, he will probably be the one that will place a person in danger, but he will also be the one that will save that same person. Even so, he tries his best to get along with extraterrestrial beings, and treats them kindly...as long as they're not planning to destroy the Earth or the Universe.

Even so, even the Tenth is a complicated person. This is because he is still fresh out of the last Great Time War, in which he not only "eliminated" (which didn't work) the Daleks, but his own race as well. Currently, he is the last of the Time Lords, and it has affected him when it comes to his personality. He always tries to take a pacifist's way out, and if there is something that can be noted about him is his dislike of guns in general. Before using violence, he will try to talk to the offender first. And if that doesn't work, well, let's say that it won't be a very good thing to do. His anger is a quiet, but boiling rage, and he has a one chance policy before he unleashes his rage. If one hurts his companions, there is really nothing that he won't do to get revenge. To him, it can be said that revenge isn't always best served cold, especially when his friend's lives are at stake....and the world's.

Which is another thing about him, and that is his loyalty with his companions. Sure, the Doctor won't mind lying or deceiving to them, because he knows that telling a few lies along the way will save them in the end. He will do anything and everything for his friends, such as causing a supernova just to get enough energy to see Rose one last time. He will put his friend's and loved one's lives before his own, and he will push them away just to keep them safe, even if it hurts him a lot more than what he wants to show. From when I am taking him from, he has recently lost Rose, which causes him to have not only a bit of a hero complex, but also to become a bit of a death seeker, throwing himself into deadly situations and escaping death by an inch. After the event with Rose and the Time War, it's obvious that he wants to save everyone, no matter the cost.

Now, the Doctor is smart. And when I say smart, I mean really smart. Of course, he knows tidbits about most things, and he's able to make gadgets out of ordinary things such as radios or loose cables. He is a master of making plans, but these plans aren't made ahead of time, but as they go along. He prefers to not live life by a constant plan but to make things as they go along. While it seems dangerous (and it really is), he will usually think of a plan right at the last second. He also, as impulsive as he is, has quite a lot of experience when it comes to knowing when and when not to go running after someone or something in a dangerous situation. He will always remind his companions, and if there is something that he doesn't like, it's to be ignored. Along with his hero-complex, he has a god-complex, believing that his options are the right things. He'll lie, manipulate, and not share plans with them so that they are safe. His plans are always right when it comes to him, and he believes that he is one of the highest on the bar when it comes to judgement. Which is why he needs his companions.

His companions are there for more than just simply because he wants to take people out on a ride. After losing all of his race, and considering that in the canon I'm taking him from, he still doesn't know that the Master is still alive, he is lonely. He is an incredibly lonely time lord. One reason he has his companions is to slightly ease that loneliness that he hides beneath the happy exterior, to let him believe that he is not completely alone. But another one is a much darker reason. Because of the Doctor's god complex, he tends to make decisions about which civilizations live or die. In the Runaway Bride, he decides to kill off the Racnoss and watch the remaining one burn while the newborn drowned. He needs his companions so that his complex doesn't get the best of him and ends up hurting the people he loves. In other words, his companions also serve as a sort of leash for him. Under his manic exterior lies a man who has been damaged from the Time War, with a heavy load on his shoulders due to survivor's guilt. He apologizes a lot and in those rare times when his ego isn't the size of a planet, it's shown that he has quite some loathing towards himself and he is quick to blame himself.

In summary, the Doctor is a very complicated man. On the exterior, he is a happy, eccentric man, who loves to travel around space and time escaping from monsters. But in the interior, lies a Time Lord that has been scarred because of war. He is lonely and because of that he needs his companions. A genius who needs an audience to show off to, and yet he also needs a person to control him so that he doesn't go mad. But all in all, if you become a friend of the Doctor, which is not very hard, you will have a friend for life, who will look out for one and even put his life on the line for you. That is if you can handle an awful lot of running, trying to follow his train wreck of thoughts, and him manipulating and lying for your safety. In the end, he cares, and he will take care of his friends in...his strange way.

[Specialties/Abilities] Any powers or special talents they may have :O
The Doctor has various abilities. As a Time Lord, he has a few differences from a human, such as a lot more stamina. It has also been seen that he can sort of mind meld with others, and telepathically communicate with other telepathic beings. He also seems to have some slight ability to recover from smaller wounds faster than humans, and because of his two hearts, killing him is a bit harder since he can still sort of function with one heart. His last ability is his ability to regenerate, though he won't be using that in Somarium of course.

[Affection] Most forms of affection will be okay with me, and kissing him will just weird him out, so unless he hates your character, he'll also be okay with most things.

[Fighting] The Doctor is.....quite good at fighting! Though he doesn't like to fight unless it's a last option; but he's got great running abilities. But yes, you can fight and injure my character but I guess we can talk about it if it's a killing wound or something more serious.

[Other Permissions] I think that everything is okay here when it comes to reading minds or fourth walling!

[Other Facts]He's rude. Rude and not ginger.
