I got back from Greece a couple days ago. I met up with K there after she'd been in Israel for three weeks. We were in Athens, then went to Santorini then Crete, and we had fun geeking out over the ancient sites, including the Acropolis, the Agora, the Palace of Knossos and Malia Palace. I want to read more about the Minoans now, although that will probably have to wait until after my dissertation. I loved visiting the museums, because so much of the stuff there was things we had studied in AP Art History. I find I have retained a lot of stuff from that class, especially considering how long ago that was now.
Exams were last month. I have mostly blocked them out now, but they seemed to go fairly well. I don't learn my results until November, so I've decided it's not really worth thinking about. I did manage to work string theory into my comparative politics script, which amused me.
I spent the day with one of my old flatmates from Edinburgh last month, which was a lot of fun. I would like to get back to Edinburgh, but I'm not sure I'm going to have time.
My dissertation is progressing slowly. My goal is to start writing this week, but I went to the library yesterday and got a bunch of new books... probably not good. I feel like I could read forever, but I really just have to start writing at some point.
