PDP
I had a pretty fun night tonight. I've been kind of in hiding lately because I've been devoting most of my time to studying, but Phi Delta Phi organized a scavanger hunt for pledges tonight. It brought us around Penn State and we had to take some pictures, and hit some bars. It was actually a really good time. It ended at a 2L's place where we hung out for a while, and then we all went to a dive sports bar nearby to watch the Red Sox. While there, I met up with the 2L that gave me a tour of the campus during orientation. She's pretty awesome. I guess she clerked for a judge on the 8th Circuit this past summer, and also did international law research for one of the legal writing professors. She's really awesome, but she's a crazy bookworm so I never see her around campus. I'm gonna try to get her to come out once in a while. Not that I've been going out, either. Bleh.
In other news, that awesome grade I thought I received in writing turned into a B+. I can't figure out whether she just got an influx of awesome papers after I met with her, or her standards were lowered. Either way, I need to write a freaking awesome paper to get an A in that class. The shitty part is that I'm really good at researching, but the professor does so much of our research for us in class, that it's probably going to turn into another contest of whose writing she likes better.
Er, oh yeah, so we went to Champs to watch the end of the game tonight. I wish I were in Boston :(
