Nina and Balthier... They're both gone without a trace. Their names have disappeared from the apartment list. Is this what others mean by people vanishing? Have they gone back home? I hope they're both safe and happy, wherever they are. It was so sudden, but I suppose that's how it always is. I would have liked to see them both one last time, to say goodbye... and thank you.

Nina was someone I considered a friend. A good friend. She was so lively, and such fun to be around. When she dragged me to the ball at the onsen, I was so grateful. She bought me a dress and made sure I enjoyed myself. Just being around her was energizing.
Balthier, for all that he unnerved me at first, was very kind and so willing to help. He just bought me a coat and warm clothes, and didn't even bat an eye at their cost. I had planned to pay his kindness back, but now it seems I'll never get the chance.
I'm going to miss them both. Very much.
