Apparently we're not the first people to have been treated in a less than pleasing manner by our hosts. Apparently, they weren't very popular. But~ It was "all meant for the best".

It would seem that way. But then, I suppose we need a look at the bigger picture to be able to put the pieces together.

Although, it proves there are other places besides this city, so why does everyone remain here? Even if travelling isn't easy, that is.

Perhaps because it is thought to be slightly safer in a more populated area? People do seem to find safety in numbers.

... although recent events do prove that perhaps it would help to be less crowded.

Aah, but it would be interesting to see if that were really the case. There's the fact that the scientists are elsewhere and presumably safe, after all.
