been a long time eh? well it's not like i'm going to be able to update this thing consistently, we're kind of in a situation right now that allows me to be online.
on april 10th of this year chris and i welcomed a new addition to our family. her name is cristal michelle. born at 6lbs 5oz and 19 1/2 inches long. it didn't take long to figure out that something was wrong, well not for me anyways. she wouldn't eat and i assume because of that nothing, and i do mean NOTHING was coming out of her, well, except for her mouth. as the hours passed she began to vomit more and more green substance. we were told that "it was normal considering she was a c-section baby". i didn't feel it was normal. finally on april 12th the hospital decided it was time to do some tests on her. they had found that something was obstructing her digestive system but weren't sure as to what it was. the only way to figure it out was to go in. in the afternoon she was taken to childrens hospital of milwaukee and it was decided that the next day my precious baby would go under the knife to find out what was going on with her. her first surgery was 2 1/2 hours long and went fine. they had found a bowel obstruction the size of a softball in her colon. to fix it they took 40% of her colon and her appendix. She was then given a colostomy so the area could heal. it took about 3 weeks for our peanut to finally come home. for the next 4 weeks i battled with the issues of her colostomy plus all of the normal baby stuff. then just when i got used to it all, we have another surgery lol. but needless to say maybe just maybe our story will end here. she just came out of surgery about a half hour ago and is in recovery now. she will be pooping like a normal like girl should........
