more Hurricane Fay ...

I took some pictures of the damage after Hurricane KuroFai Fay. But I should point out, we weren't actually hit by Hurricane Fay -- she just got close enough to give us some horrible weather (RAIN and WIND for 2+ days). I think the rain and wind we got were about Tropical Storm Fay-strength. My cousin lives about an hour away from me and he said he saw a tornado touch down where he was.

on the way to Orange Park, we were driving into one of the thunderstorms post-Fay. note: I was not driving!

rain, rain, go away, (don't) come again some other day ...

tree down! it took up about half the parking lot ...

same tree, still down. branches everywhere!

flooded sidewalk, flooded street outside the office. it was still raining lightly while I was taking pictures.

we have a new pond!

the parking lot on the other side of the building, branches everwhere!

these 3 are pictures I took of the streets around here, many of them have BIG PILES of branches by the side of the road.

this is, I think, the remains of same tree that I'd seen earlier that had been almost split in half ...

thankfully, there wasn't very much damage that I know of; could have been much worse. Last I heard they've removed about 900 fallen trees.

on the plus side, all the wind blew that piece of duct tape off my bathroom window that had been stuck there for about 4 years, from the last time we were expected to get hit pretty badly by a hurricane.

also, the wind has blown away this banana spider from above our front door:

same spider in hires:

and it blew away this freaky-weird spider, and several others of its kind:

same spider in hires:

I have no idea what kind of spiders those are, I call them the Red-Spiky Spiders of Death.

ending on a positive note, here's what our sky usually looks like. that's the Dames Pointe Bridge in the distance, it's a beautiful bridge.

blues so pretty! ... I didn't notice the police car until I looked at the picture, oops.
