(no subject)
Usually there is something I want to specifically discuss when I write in my journal, but really there isn't anything particularly new or interesting going on. Things are pretty stable, more just things looming on the horizon. School. My sister. Matt. Friends returning from summer sessions at college, moving into my apartment, etc.
Though in the past few days quite a bit has happened -- Amanda came to visit on Wednesday, and I really enjoyed hanging out with her again, she really is the one really close friend I have where I can open up COMPLETELY to her and not only feel that she wont look at me any less, but more often than not, that she really thinks more or less the same and has prolly either experienced, will experience shortly, or at least can very closely empathize with what I have to share. Despite wanting to show her around Coral Springs since she drove almost 2 hours from Stuart county to visit, we ended up staying in my room goofing around and just talking, like usual. In the Fall we are allegedly going to start taking Stripper classes. Ready guys? Together now; Ah ha ha ha.
Then on Thursday, Chiaki came over :D She is now going to go to college in Illinois, but she is in Florida for a bit to visit her host family and friends. It was very nice meeting up with her, and hopefully next week I'll be able to see her again. Her english has really quite improved. ^^
When I last spoke to Matt, he said he would be coming home on Monday, because even though his last final was Thursday, his sister Ali is graduating from grad school at UCF this weekend, and between moving and that wont be back till then. A little disappointing as I'd hoped to see him sooner, but I have something to look forward to. I've been trying for the LONGEST time [since I started dating Matt, practically] to get him and Amanda to meet, as she is prolly close to becoming my best friend and he his my boyfriend, so duh it stands to be that they MUST meet... but something ALWAYS happens when I try to get them together. So on Monday, Amanda and her boyfriend Mitch are hoping to come down and maybe spend the night and we can all get to know each other as I'd only met Mitch once, and really it was more a "Oh, hello, nice to meet you, I've heard so much about you blah blah gotta go".
From our talks we find it interesting that Mitch is really like me, and Amanda like Matt, and we are in truth dating the male counter part. And as result, Amanda is both excited that I meet Mitch and also worried, that we will get on far better than even she herself does with him. But I'm not worried, I like Matt too much and I am convinced Amanda and Mitch were made for each other. Besides, she said he has a southern accent [even though we met, I don't really remember] and I can't STAND those. And from the way I've spoken of Amanda and Mitch, Matt is excited to meet them and hear if all the hype I've made over them is true, and also he is jealous of the way I describe Mitch [well Amanda makes him sound so perfect and good to her! and am I to be blamed for just repeating what she's told me he does for her, and he happens to get jealous that he's made out to be so great a man and he has a long ways to go? ahaha]. So I'm looking forward to them spending the night, and hopefully Matt will be able to as well, but I haven't spoken to him yet about these plans.. Woops. Well he told me he'd definitely be free for me on Monday so he should be okay <3 I'll just ask him to see if he can't spend the night too as since they'll both be getting in late, we'll prolly be up late too.
Also my sister Merissa has recently become engaged and is to be wed in November, but first she was supposed to come down this weekend to see us after years and introduce her fiance to our dad and meet the rest of teh family. I was really excited for her, as she's been a single mom for several years since her divorce with her first husband at 18. v__v He sounds like such a good man, unfortunately though he's in the military and is set to go back into the field later this year after their wedding. Reminds me of an FML where a guy posted that he had been married for 5 years, but had only seen his wife a total of two weeks. Wow.
But anyways, they were supposed to come down this weekend, but my dad has not heard of them and I assumed this weekend met they'd be here today, Friday...but we'll see. It'll be exciting to go to the wedding, which I hope we get to do.
