past 6 weeks in review
i have failed and i know im lagging in the updates of the livejournal so im just gonna update now...
*spring break: went to seattle to visit my friend. her car was stolen which was funny only cuz its an '87 camry which had already been stolen once already last year. the police said "you can break into that thing with a fork". this is a true statement. anyways it turned out to be better cuz we got a brand new rental car. way to pimp our ride. and then she took me to all the touristy spots like gasworks park (where 10 things i hate about you was filmed), fremont troll, pikes place market, science center, and random wonderful seattle places. we ate at all these great places and i got to hang out with her friends who are really awesome. we got pizza at this place thats more informal than papa murphys haha. so bad there was like a spider in one of the things and they used a cutter to bring it outside. gross. but yeah it was cool. played lotsa board games lol like cranium and trivial pursuit 90s edition. overall, lotsa fun and i wanna go back and eat all of her food again.
*rosarito: for someone's 22nd birthday, we all piled into a party bus and went to papas and beer in mexico. it was lotsa fun, much cleaner than tiajuana. the club is outdoors and stuff. taking care of drunk ppl...but yeah i got to eat real mexican food yummm. i had carne asada nachos and a quesadilla mmmmm so good. thanks to renee who saved me when i was waiting to go to warren. i had good times sitting on someones lap that i didnt know haha umm 6 girls in one little car. it was crowded but hey i met some new ppl haha.
*erc's semi formal: so my lifelong friend victor wrote me a song and sang it on the ukelele. twas quite sweet. so yeah we went to the semi formal at canes which had a BUFFET! omgosh we were all so hungry when we got there and so excited for the food. it was steak, chicken, shrimp, rice, and veggies. then chocolate cake for dessert. i was introduced to a new drink, sunrise which is orange juice and that cherry flavoring thing. its a pretty color. and then we danced and whatnot on the tiny dance floor. hung out with ppl from my building and met some new ppl. there was a point where the music ceased to be good, but we tried to make the best of it haha. victor and i became picture whores so we have almost 100 pictures from the night. a good majority of them are just us hahaha. the club was right on the beach and after we watched the waves =)
*ice cream: had cold stone and gelato for the first time. wow both were so good. i had my cold stone mixed with cookie dough in a waffle cone. and gelato was great in the chill atmosphere. its weird to be in a place thats not fremont where places are actually open after 9 pm.
*other: manaf came to visit from ucla! we lunched it up and chatted about our lives. im glad we got to catch up. and jessica is coming this weekend yayy!!
midterms are all done! yess i had a pretty crazy schedule last week with 4 midterms and a prospectus due but its finally over! for the first time i stayed up til 330, took a 4 hour nap, then woke up to study for a midterm. was quite crazy. but lotsa fun "studying" with ppl and basically getting distracted while eating candies from the french club lol.
hmm well lets see its already week 6 which is really nice cuz that means that there are only 5 weeks left of school plus finals. freshman year has gone by pretty fast. this quarter especially. sun god is coming up. its a pretty crazy time here at ucsd. so thatll be exciting. things are really good now. im much happier.
oh yeah that j. lo "get right" song is not so annoying to me anymore. its grown on me. weird. i wanna see house of wax but some ppl are making fun of me for that. whatever i still wanna see it.
most likely staying in sd for summer so im getting that all figured out right now. luckily i know a lot of ppl who are staying too so we can all play. umm thats all so hope everythings swell for everyone right now. byeeeeeee!
